More about Stella and Lulu at 1

My silly Stella

My laughing Lulu

Being 1 is so much fun!  The babies are learning so much and have such great receptive skills.  When you say "night night", they will get their blankets and lay their heads down.  They are able to blow/give kisses, they know what a dog says (they bark at all animals!), and they open their mouths and make a zombie like sound when you ask them what a zombie says.

Stella and Lulu are crawling so fast!  They are starting to take a few steps forward, but are very shaky.  Stella has a very funny drag one knee crawl, in addition to crawling on all fours.

Although they are having some issues with real food, they are starting to try new foods, like squeeze packs of fruits and vegetables, and other soft foods, like potatoes, fries, bread, mangoes, cooked apples and cooked carrots.

They are starting to wear some size 12 month clothing, and are still wearing size 3 diapers during the day and size 4 at night, since they are sleeping 11 to 12 hours.  Yay!!!

Here are some of their pics from Portrait Innovations:

Happy First Birthday, Stella and Lucia!

Happy 1st birthday, Stella and Lucia!!!  What an amazing year it has been!  We had a wonderful party at the Carousel Room, which is a part of the Elk Grove Park District.  Thank you to everyone who was able to make it for the party.  Here are a few pics, taken by our wonderful photographer, Rachel:

Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch

We had such a fun afternoon at Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch in Barrington.  Kenny took a half day off from work to join us.  The babies loved it, as there is an awesome "zoo" of exotic animals, including bears, tigers, llamas, chickens, deer, sheep, and monkeys.  It was a beautifully sunny and warm day.  We had a great time!

Talia was a little nervous feeding the giraffe...

the chickens--I think that the babies loved them the most!

Giana was so excited to ride a camel...and kept saying "woot woot" the whole time!

Talia decided that she'd rather go on a pony ride
