The time seems to be moving at warp speed and all I keep
saying is “STOP GROWING!” I mean, it is
so great that they are doing so well and continue to gain weight and grow, but
my babies are filling out and starting to become movers and rollers and I just
want it all to slow down. I am so
thankful that I have been off of work since they were born, but the school year
never goes by this fast! I am hoping for
some lazy summer days ahead…
The twins are doing so well with gaining weight. They both weigh the exact same—14 pounds, 11
ounces! Lulu had a big weight gain, as
she was always 6-8 ounces less then Stella.
They are both in the 20th percentile for weight. Stella is getting taller at 25 inches long,
and Lulu, just under at 24.5 inches long. Both also at the 20th percentile
for height. (Better then last month at
the 10th percentile!) They are loving cereal now, and have also
eaten some fruit and vegetables for dinner too.
They are starting to try to hold their bottles, which makes feeding time
so much longer, b/c they just want to play with the bottles. We have also just started veggies and fruits
and they seem to love trying new things.
Let’s hope this lasts!
They are rolling all over the place! No more staying on their backs on the floor
or couch for long. While they are not
transferring items from hand to hand, they are starting to grab items from your
hand and reach for items. They have the best smiles and giggles. Talia and Giana can get them both to laugh so much. It is the best thing ever to watch all 4 of them laughing and having fun together!
They are wearing size
2 diapers and still wearing some 3-6 month clothing and some 6 month
clothing. They are getting to bed a
little earlier, around 8 or so, which has been really nice to be able to fold the laundry that had accumulated throughout the day...usually 2-4 loads! Lulu is becoming a really great sleeper--most nights sleeping straight through until 5 or so. Stella, on the other hand, will cry out for her paci that has fallen out of her mouth, and may wake up 3-4 times/night. We've had some rough nights around here lately. I keep reminding myself that this is just a phase, and it will pass.
