Stella and Lucia are 3 months old!

I can't believe how fast the days are going.  My sweet little baby girls are 3 months old and are doing great.  They are both starting to smile so much, and will look right at you when you are talking to them.  They are getting very strong at holding up their heads and they are both turning their heads to follow me or Kenny or their big sisters.  So cute!

Stella and Lucia

At our 3 month check up, Stella weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and Lulu was 8 pounds, 2 ounces!  They are getting close to doubling their birth weight!  WOW!  Although they are still very small for being 3 months old, I am relishing having them so small.  There's just something about a sweet baby--and I'm so lucky that I have two!!!

Stella

Lulu

They are still wearing newborn clothing, which looks like it is starting to get snug, esp. on Stella, but the 0-3 month size is still too long and wide on them.  They are wearing newborn diapers, which fit great.  They are sleeping on and off all day, but definitely awake for longer stretches of time.  Most nights, they do pretty good--sleeping from about 11 to 4.  Solid sleep for us helps so much!  They are very attached to their pacifiers, although they have both found their thumb, so sometimes they like that too.

Stella's birthmark on her forehead has been getting bigger, and the doctors suspect that there may also be one growing under her left eye lid, so we are treating it with an oral medication.  Hopefully, it will all clear up soon.

I am so thankful that I am able to be home with them.  It is amazing to watch my sweet babies grow and thrive each day!

Giana is 4

Another year older for my sweet Giana...so hard to believe.  Where does the time go?

Giana is such a beautiful, sweet, funny, happy, stubborn, and kind little girl.  I love how easy going she is, how honest she is, and how funny she is.  She is willing to do anything for you, and is such a helper.    It is hard to be in a bad mood around her, or to get angry at her.

She loves going to school.  She loves to look at books, write her name, color, and pretend to do homework.  She loves math, and definitely has more of a math brain.  She can identify numbers to 20 and loves to add.  She wants to learn to read as Talia reads to the babies all the time, so she wants to as well.  And even though she has so many books memorized, she is trying to match letters and sounds to read.  So cute!  She loves anything princess-especially Tiana.  She loves Dora.  She loves animals, and these days keeps asking for a hamster just like her friend Avery's.

She loves to sleep, and still naps most days.  She loves to snuggle up with a blanket and watch TV or The Muppets on the I Pad.  She does not like to be alone.  She is such a little cuddler.

She weighs 36 pounds, and is just over 40 inches tall.  Around the 50th percentile for each.  She loves to eat, well, mostly, she loves to snack, but she is not afraid to try new foods.

I am so lucky to be her mommy!

Little Mommies!

Having Talia and Giana around is such a blessing!  They are both so helpful (most of the time) and really want to help with the babies.  Talia has been changing diapers and loves to feed them their bottles.  They both jump to help the babies when they whimper and will very quickly shove a pacifier in their mouths.  They will read books to them and read to them too.  The babies are really starting to respond with smiles for them too!  Very sweet!

And here they are wearing coordinating pajamas--such cuties--I am so lucky!

The Twins Room

Before the twins were born, I refused to have 2 of anything in the house, including cribs. I figured that the babies would be sleeping in my room for a while, so there was no rush in setting up the nursery until I had to, and I knew they were both coming home.  Well, finding a crib like ours was not easy, but after many hours searching on Craigslist (I would look every time I would pump--6 times/day for about 20 minutes each time!) I finally found an exact match!  I was beyond excited!  When do you think they'll actually use it?

I love their room--it's my favorite room in the house!

I found this on ETSY!  Love it!
