Time is just flying by...and the babies are getting bigger and cuter every day!
At our 5 month check up, Stella weighs 12 pounds, 9 ounces and Lulu weighs 12 pounds, 2 ounces! And although they are getting bigger, they are still in the 25th and 10th percentiles on the preemie scale.
They are definitely starting to be on a sleeping and eating schedule, and they are getting better at eating cereal every day. At night, they are falling asleep around 9 or 9:30 and most nights will sleep until 4--can't really complain! Most days, they are also taking 2 solid naps for at least an hour or 2 and then 2 other little cat naps. I am hoping that these naps condense into 2 longer naps and they continue to move towards going to bed earlier...I'd like to fold the piles of laundry that hang out on my couch before 10 pm one day! :) They are doing great eating cereal and I think that I am going to start to give them cereal 2x/day...
They are becoming more and more social and will initiate cooing and gurgling. It is so cute to talk to them. They have both discovered their tongues and like to "talk"by making sounds and sticking out their tongues and seeing the sounds it makes. They have great eye contact and are following objects all over--esp. their sisters! They LOVE to smile and we've even heard some little giggles from Lulu. So cute!!!
They are still wearing size 1 diapers and are still wearing 3 mo. clothes...although they seem to be getting snug, esp. at the crotch area--they are following in their tall sisters footsteps, it seems.
